Anybody know the WNBA record for assists in a 40-minute game? Record for most assists per minute? (assuming the player was in for at least 15 minutes)

The single game record is held by Ticha Penicheiro, who doled out 16 on two occasions. Three times, a player has recorded 15 in a game. Ticha did it twice; Cappie did it the other time. A player has recorded 11 assists in a half on three occasions. Penecheiro was the only player to do that.

Sue Bird ranks second in career assists by a wide margin. But there is an even bigger gap between her and Penicheiro. Ticha holds most assist records--the 3 highest season totals, 3 highest season averages, 3 highest halves, 2 highest games, highest career total, and highest career average. The Penicheiro family taught that it is better to give than to receive.
