Triple double for his Long Island Lutheran squad tonight to beat the Isiah Whitehead led Lincoln in the NYS AA Federation semifinal. 19pts, 15 rebs, 10 blocks, they play Christ The King for the title tomorrow. I really think KO has landed his first stud.

Should be on MSGvarsity.com, right?

no idea, they haven't really been updating much on their site, even on the actual TV channel the content has been limited. Not sure if you get the channel but the final should eventually pop up on there.

I love Facey he seems like such a good kid too. I'm thinking about going to the Jordan game at Barclays. Anyone else going?

also of note when the title game does eventually air, Christ The King has a freshman named Rawle Alkins who is being talked about as one of the better NYC prospects for the future, like Lance without being a headcase. Haven't heard anything in regards to KO/UConn but he's someone to keep in mind for the future.

How good is his face up game?
I may be wrong, but I think another thread about him said that his face-up game was considered to be advanced/really good?

I've read something similar. Improving face up game but post game still needs work, but that will come with time & muscle.

I look forward to bringing in more quality talent like Facey. Only a solid recruiting class can cheer me up about our situation right now.

yea Facey is a face up guy right now, good looking jumper and can face up from 10-15 ft, put the ball on the floor and beat defenders to the basket.

I hope it isn't revisionist history on our part. A few months ago we were lamenting the weakness of our recruiting class and praying we could land one of the late 2013 signees.

Does anyone else think Facey can eventually develop into a SF down the road? When I see his build & athletic ability, I wonder if he can develop into one, similar to Rudy Gay was at UConn. I don't think he's at Rudy's level yet, but I think he has that kind of potential to me.

Stop it, this is college basketball. You need 3 ballhandlers, not 3 bigs. Look at the successful teams across the country and you'll find more of them have 3's that are 6'4, not 6'8.

Stop what? There are plenty of other teams in America with 6'8" SFs. Look at Porter, CJ Fair. I think this kid has the agility & foot speed to eventually become similar. Not saying he won't play PF, but I he probably can be a combo type of forward.

I see where you're going, Bear. Down the road, maybe. Has to get a feel for the game.. But I doubt we'll ever see him at the 3. I could see him doing what DD has done at the 4 towards the end of the season for us down the road.

He's a post player. DeAndre Daniels doesn't even handle it well enough to play the 3. Facey won't play a single possession at the 3 at Uconn.

Exactly, which is why I said "developing", which some others missed. I know DD plays the 4 for UConn, but his game is definitely more of a 3 man, his handle & shooting are improving. Kinda what I think Facey can eventually do. I get this feeling Facey is crazy athletic & could eventually handle playing the 3, down the road, not now... especially if we can sign someone like Abu. Those 2 guys together would be awesome.
