ESPN is listing him as "signed". Does that mean that he signed an LOI, and if so, does that mean that he has to be released from USC and/or sit a year?

USC fired their head coach. He asked for his release from them on Wednesday I believe. They will release him eventually and he will be open to any schools most likely. He won't have to sit a year.

He de-committed from USC after Kevin O'Neil got fired, but hasn't been released yet

Even if Boat and Bazz do return next year, we need to get another point guard. Come 2014, it is likely Bazz and Boat are gone, so having two experienced point guards after they leave is very important.

Good 1, Palatine.. I agree with the post above. It's said that he is a combo guard so he should be very good with on-ball and off-ball duties.. I am perfectly fine with bringing guards that are 6'3 and above.

so did Derrick Williams and Solomon Hill. last time a USC coach got canned it jumpstarted Zona's program, not sure why you're acting as if good players are incapable of going there, you have a habit of posting some bizarre stuff.

Samuel has signed his LOI, what grounds would he have to get out of that and why exactly would he want to?? The kid has said UConn is his dream school and the staff has been pretty upfront about pursuing another guard, as they have gone after XRM, Brandon Austin, and then Kendall Smith. Harrris has the size to play more than one position besides PG. With the staff now armed with a full compliment of scholarships its time for us to go back to the days of having depth again.

You can't stop recruiting because you are concerned that one of your players will be offended and/or might leave. The objective of recruiting is to get the best players you can and as many as possible.
