Checked to see where that Gray guy was ranked and it looks like Sampson has recruited extensively from the JUCO ranks.

They looked pretty solid, so it appears that strategy is working for him.

Houston has a hard time recruiting high school blue chippers.

The new $25M practice facility has started to get us back on a level playing field facilities-wise.

Next comes the $60M arena renovation, opening in November 2018.

But you are right: seven players on the roster came from Juco, and one more transferred in. Only three signed with Houston out of HS. Four if you count the former walk on Van Beck.

Hopefully, that changes in time.

In November, we signed 2 HS players and 2 Jucos. I'm not sure we'll ever be 12 HS recruits /0 Jucos. I'd take 8 HS / 4 Jucos to plug holes.
