2016-17 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball honors

15 Member All PAC 12 Teams seems like rewarding an Award to Everyone. IMO Doesn't Reward the Truly Great/Good Players by having so many players selected.

Everybody gets a trophy! What do you expect from the conference that is headquartered in California! As an OSU fan, I am so pleased to see Gabby Hanson named PAC12 defensive player of the year. She was overlooked last year, and very deserving this year. FYI, she has been the only defender in the PAC12 that has made Kelsey Plum look human on the basketball court.

I would have dropped McPhee and McCall from Stanford. Both have had "streaky" parts to their season. McCall had 21 games of under 10 rebounds and only 2 games of over 20 points. McPhee has an assist to T/O ratio of less than one and I think she is more of a "me" player than "we" player, IMO
I also would have dropped Gulich from OSU. I like her a lot but dont think she belongs in a honorable mention category, if there is one.
However, I would have added Emily Potter of Utah

I'm also mildly surprised by the inclusion of Gulich and McPhee. I would've expected Dornstauder of ASU to get in ahead of Gulich, and I would've had LaBrittney Jones of UA ahead of McPhee.

But I would certainly have McCall, though.

15 players is obnoxious!

Everybody gets a trophy! What do you expect from the conference that is headquartered in California!

Last year, the AAC had 16 players on 3 teams - first, second, and third (I believe there was a tie amongst the first team honorees)
2016 American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Regular Season Awards Announced

There is one PAC 12 All-Conference Team of 15 players. Total. The PAC 12 simply did not differentiate.

How is this different from what any other conference does?
