This game doesn't really have any substantive consequences. Really!
I mean, yes, it is UConn vs. ND, the very best rivalry in women's college basketball. And there is no love lost between these two.
Nonetheless, it is taking place in December, not March or April.
Our winning 3 in a row in 2011 did not do it for us in the tournament.
Their winning 3 in a row in 2013 meant nothing when Stewie "became Stewie" and lit them up for 29. (Muffet was sitting on the bench thinking, "Oh my, I have to deal with this for 3 more years, and she is only going to get better. And she already is the best player in the country." )
Yes, we will all root really hard on Sunday, but I'm pretty Zen about it right now.
If we play them in late March or early April, I will not be so Zen.
I will work on being composed for this one. We shall see.
