His coach said first time the kid dis his bench max he did 285 three times. Kid is an ox.
Scouting report? He talked to his mother and aau coach and now he is the next Jeff Adrien. Let's be real it's not like his mother or coach are going to say anything negative. Let's see the kid play before we start hyping him to be the next great. And yes he was injured over the summer but what about the previous two summers? Paul white was hurt this summer but he was still ranked. It baffles me how we hype these kids up without even seeing them just because his mom said he is great.
I've known and coached Rakim since the 6th grade. He was involved in a very intense weight lifting program at Gadsden City High School. I can assure you he has been lifting for 4 years. I can also assure you that UCONN is getting a GREAT PLAYER!
Thank you Coach. Appreciate the first hand feedback. He is an unknown commodity to most of us so don't let any negative comments on here deter you. We trust Coach Ollie's eye for talent and I am sure he is a better talent evaluator than most on here.
Looking forward to having Rubin in the fold and watching him develop over the next few years. Thank you again for your feedback.
Yes - you have identified the big problem with the Boneyard. We are just so relentlessly positive about everything.

We needed a big strong PF and we got one. All he needs to do is block out, rebound, play D and make the put backs. We have plenty of scorers. If we get more it is a bonus and it sounds like this kid has some scoring ability from 17" in according to his coach. Welcome Rakim!
I sure hope he can score from 17"!
Now, if he can score from 17', that would be great.

Haha. This is, of corse, a perfect set up for a Stonehenge reference.
