Katie Lou, Karlie Samuelson: GBR nationality?

I had occasion to check out Perfumerias Avenida WBB website. I was surprised to see that the Samuelson sisters are listed as British nationals/citizens?

Does anyone know when this happened?

The mom was born in England, so the Samuelson sisters are eligible to play for Great Britian and dual citizenship. Bonnie almost played for Great Britian in the 2012 Olympics, but was injured. Karlie has played for Great Britian as well. Karlie and Bonnie are dual citizens. I would assume there is some advantage to playing in Spain on a European passport than a US passport.

Their mother is British so they can both claim citizenship by descent. It's convenient for the Euroleague which limits non-European players to two per team, along with one naturalized player.
