Anyone watching this? KU playing with purpose early. Don't know that they have the depth and consistency to pull off the upset, but they've definitely won the opening couple of rounds.

18-10 at the under 12:00.

Wow. Now 24-12. LVs not playing well either side of the court. KU is having their way early.

KS playing great. Getting some good shots, hitting 3s, and limiting Tn's O rebounds.
Pretty stunning start.

Two for the price of one.

Have asked the mods to merge if they are on-line.

Either way, whoever wins this, Baylor is going to sleepwalk to Denver.

Exactly. TN waking up. 28-22 Vols on 7-0 run.

Kansas getting a bit stuck in the mud here.

33-29, Jayhawks.

Sometimes KU makes a concerted effort to move the ball around, and sometimes they settle for one-on-one and bad shots.

Announcers pointing out that bringing in underclassmen heped turn the tide for LVs. Given that Bass and Manning bring very little to the offense, this is not surprising.

KU is a horrible FT shooting team, which makes pulling off the upset less likely.

Unfortunate for KS that they went on that run in the 1st half; TN had time to readjust and the players to realize this will be no cakewalk. If it happened in the 2nd half, I think the Vols might've been too shell shocked to recover.

TN definitely stepped up its intensity.
KS doing a great job on the boards.

KS and TN look fairly equal with a five point edge to KS at the half. Does Pat Summitt have anything up her sleeve for the second half?

3pt percentage is the difference

KS is 3-7; TN is 3-14
They're both shooting 50% from 2pt land.

Meighan Simmons hit two of the LV's three three-pointers...but that's also given her the self-granted green light to jack up a lot of poor shots. But at least she always competes.

Parenthetical note: the Des Moines arena looks pleasant.

Goodrich with several bad decisions driving into trouble and making bad passes.

Kansas has a tendancy to lose someone on D leading to open shots. If UT converts it will drastically change the look of this game.

Massengale with two threes in a row to tie it at 42.
