The post players should learn to finish around the basket like KC. LOL! Many moons ago I openly questioned why in the world UConn would go after a point guard, knowing that Paige, KK and Azzi were already going to cover that position. Even though Kaitlyn had a nice career at Princeton and could obviously play ball, it seemed like a needless redundancy when an experienced BIG was the glaring need (and still is). I was wrong. It is remarkable how quickly and seamlessly she fit into the program. Not everyone does. Dorka really struggled for a while. Kaitlyn can get her own shot, she can drive and finish, she hits her FTs, she has to be respected from the 3 point line, she plays excellent on-ball defense and most importantly Geno gave her the keys very early in the season. He trusts her, her teammates trust her, and I'm so happy she got the experience of a Final Four run in her bonus season of basketball. Wouldn't shock me in the least to see her get drafted by the WNBA, and she will definitely play professionally overseas if she wants to.
