On a regional level a lot of people knew about Kadin Shedrick coming into the month of July, but on the national scale he was an unknown. That all changed in a big way at the adidas Summer Championships in Los Angeles. Shedrick, who played very well, exploded during that event, and saw his offer list expand to nearly 20 high-major schools.

A strong showing in July led to an offer explosion for Kadin Shedrick

Why did his stock rise? I don't know what it is about the state of North Carolina, but it seems like they are good for a few sleepers each summer and Shedrick is another who really woke up in front of college coaches. A thin big man who runs the floor with long strides, he really started to come into his own. He finishes well with either hand and has good skill.

They almost had no choice about limiting themselves to a relatively small group due to how late they got into the race as UConn coaches. So, if they can score on a few of the major targets it will be a real plus not only for 2019 but the statement it makes going forward.
