I know nothing about Justin Simon, how do you feel he stacks up with Jalen Adams? I'm under the impression the staff has made Adams a priority and we are in a good place with him. As always thanks for the update 3.

I believe Adams is still a high priority. Simon is believed to have interest in UConn and has absolutely blown up lately. He's getting offers and new interest daily.

UCLA is the leader correct? I thought he was pretty much a lock to them.

@JoshGershon: 2015 Temecula (Calif.) Valley PG Justin Simon has #UConn, #Oregon, #SDSU, #UCLA and #USC watching him tonight.

Look for an offer to be extended soon. We will be serious players in this one.
3, I know ESPN isn't always 100% accurate, but they list him as a SG. Is he expected to play the 1 or the 2 in college?

FWIW, 247 sports has both Adams and Simon committing to us probably Adams as a PG and Simon as a SG.

I've driven the exurbs of LA several times and through Temecula. Seems to me a very scrappy place to live.

There may have been individual writers who have predicted that those guys commit to us, but not the site as a whole. In the case of Simon, one guy picked us and 5 other guys picked UCLA.

Temecula's a decent town - not Malibu or Bel Air or anything, but it seems livable (I pass by all the time when visiting San Diego - pretty much the midway point from LA to SD if you want to be close enough to road trip either direction). They have a nice luxury resort casino and golf course, an old town style village, and several wine vineyards. It isn't where I would expect a top hoops prospect to be.

Hmmm, I didn't even know it had a coastline. I pass it taking the back route up to Ontario airport or else up to OC and Joshua Tree. That must be one enormous town to stretch all the way from the flatlands to the ocean.

Temecula (and Murietta) are the jewels of Riverside County, and not really between San Diego and Los Angeles (Orange county is)- it's directly north and east of SD and well south of LA, as well as east).

It's really an armpit of a county. Murietta and Temecula are two nicest cities in the county, have some wineries, and as mentioned a decent casino or two. The rest of Riverside county is just yuck, for lack of a better word. I don't think either of those 2 cities are particularly "tough", but everything around it is... But yeah, not exactly the sort of hot bed of hooops talent when one thinks of high school hoops...

This is what I saw driving through. I didn't think Riverside was bad on the eyes. San Bernardino has nice rolling hills and classic Cali landscape. But then you drive a little south over the hills and all I see is flatland and industrial farming. It just looked like no man's land to me. And yes, I've been around Inland Empire and can't even imagine living there. But the landscape is nice. Not so much in Temecula.

I wouldn't call them the leader yet. Many people are saying that and Crystal Balling him to UCLA because Dorsey just went to Arizona. Now UCLA is going to go all out on Simon.

He's a combo right now who's transitioning to be a full time PG. He will play PG in college.

Jack LeGwin predicted both to come to UCONN.

Not that I don't mind that :)

Well, I guess I sort of considered LA county (where I am on the Eastern outskirts) rather than the city proper (a half hour West of me), so calling it the midpoint was a bit inaccurate. It is more the midpoint between my apartment and San Diego.

Wild guess, Claremont?

Yeah. So Temecula is my midpoint to SD. I've found it to be a perfectly nice pee break town if I drank too much coffee, although sometimes there's a ton of traffic on the exits and I'll hold it until Escondido.
