We can all talk about coaching changes/etc, but at the same time I'm holding out hope that the players make a statement on national television Saturday night to let the country know that this program, despite the lack of leadership from the staff, is still breathing.

I want to believe. I really really do. It's just very difficult to see UCONN winning, or even hanging close, this game. Not with this coaching staff anyway. Interim TJW might have re-energized the team enough to overcome a few mistakes and maybe keep it close. But this game will go like every other, in my opinion: start off well, fail to adjust, big mistakes in pivotal moments of the game, then the wheels fall off the tracks.

If we hang close but still lose, I will consider it a victory. To be honest, I'm expecting a Wounded Knee style of massacre.

Unfortunately, I agree. Covering the 20 point spread will be enough for me to be somewhat excited. What a nightmare season this has turned out to be, huh?

I'm thinking if we keep it within two touchdowns, we can walk out of there hold our heads high. I'm really afraid of what's going to happen though.

Sadly, I think that will be the reason they crush us... we might have snuck out a win or close game if they were thinking of the conference schedule... not so much that now.

I admire people trying to keep their hopes alive but at some point or another you're going to have to embrace the horror. If this team couldn't get up for Maryland playing in our house I don't see why they would all of a sudden start doing everything right against Michigan.

By the way, I didn't have any where else to note this but did anyone else see after the game when a ton of UConn players were lined up to give Edsall a hug? I understand all the complaints on RE but you could never say he lost his team the way that PP has.

Hey, we were four plays away from beating Maryland by double digits.

I expect the team to play well.

But at some point, Michigan will makes adjustments and Pasqualoni won't.
What do we have to believe in with this guy anymore? Look at what happened against Randy and the Terps? Randy made adjustments at the half... What did PP have our kids adjust? NOTHING! I'm sure after Michigan it will be "we'll watch the film on that one and make some adjustments." and/or if WM keeps him (if we lose) I bet he'll try to save himself by starting Tim Boyle and burning his redshirt which won't produce any real result on offense.

That's where my head is at too...if UM rolled Akron, they might have overlooked us and we could have kept it close / respectable. I'm sure Hoke is kicking their azzes this week in practice, they have to sit in a hotel in Hartford CT all day Saturday, and then play in a 44 K stadium (counting the temp seats!) against an AAC opponent.

I'm fully expecting something to the tune of 49-13 or even worse. Which may go a long way to helping our cause in getting PP fired mid-season.

I saw that. Hank Hughes too. They looked like they wanted to know if there were any extra seats on the Maryland bus.
