I come across a new tweet from or a conversation amongst our incoming recruits - Lagow, Joseph, Thomas, Walsh, etc. - and I immediately back away from the ledge.

These dudes are so genuinely excited to join the program and are so likeable to boot, how can I not be excited about our team's prospects going forward?

I guess positivity - much like negativity - is contagious...

Yes he is a breath of fresh air and our offense needs a leader

life is good when college is paid for. the kid are excited to be playing college football and im thrilled that they picked uconn over other schools. but they have no clue outside of the on field struggles whats really going on in storrs and they think they are the chosen kids to turn the on fielkd product around. all good and fine. maybe 1 or 2 of the local kids know a bit more with everything going on who follow bball also but overall they are just good kids who see a chance fball wise to play and become something.

HFD, not cool to rain on the kid's parade. Give them some credit instead of assuming they aren't up to speed. Let's all do our best to keep the negativity pointed at each other.

im not all over the kids with negative stuff. hell i talk to half of them weekly. they know my stance on the coach and that im just a fan not a player or some 1 important. but i still put my blue glasses on and encourage them about things. all u guys watch them on twitter talking now. how do u think that all got going? it wasn't a accident. they didn't just all meet at the last game and boom goes the dynomite. every time we got a commit i would tweet all fo them so they all knew of each other and could start to talk to each other and so many other things like that. i care about the recruits and even tho i'm a wild man pissed off right njow at certain ppl including the staff. they know im just a pissed off fan based on the results from the past year and that they are good players and can come in and change things. thats all that needs to be said/thought for them.

You really need to STFU.

Unfortunately its the negativity that is voiced more frequently and louder, as referenced by HFD not even allowing this thread to go beyond 2 posts before it reared it head here.

RL won MVP at the NUC All-American! Congrats to him, and I can't wait to get these new kids signed!

These kids all think the same thing. These conversations always happen. Twitter just allows us to be privy to it.

I'm not following too many of them yet, but I'll retweet them here and there when I see stuff come across. Lagow seemed genuinely excited and grateful to have won that MVP and like epark mentioned - he seems genuinely excited to be coming to UConn. I saw it, just said congrats, he said thanks... little stuff, but they know there are folks up here excited to see em play.

Dan, I love that you are the "welcoming committee" on twitter for these guys - they get to build a little repore with their future teammates. It's great- keep it up!

Give it a rest. Holy cow.

They are the ones that are going to make a difference here, I'm glad they are excited. Despite our worry's they will get to play at a very high level of football and see some of the country while doing it. As we have seen elsewhere a couple of good players can energize a whole program. Here's your chance boys, go get em!

THEY ARE the chosen kids to turn the on-field product around!!! And I can't wait for them to do so!!! Lagow, Joseph, Thomas, Walsh, and every other UConn 2013 recruit....WELCOME TO THE DOG POUND, BABY!!!!

They most likely know we are on the verge of getting an invite to a more powerful conference. If they do very well, we can easily be headed to the B1G.

I defend a lot of your posts, not this one. No need to rain on one of the few positive posts getting created around here.

Remember, football is about two things: Coaching and the QB.

With a new staff and Lagow coming aboard, we could be in for a pleasant surprise.

I pray we keep Richard true to his word, is there a new staff I haven't had the pleasure of hearing about?

Please say yes.
