Didn't catch this in the first reading but don't the last four words sound awkward and really suspicious? If i am reading this correctly he has made his commitment contingent upon the continued membership of the other, existing ACC programs. Those are not the words of someone who thinks the conference relationship will last much longer.

The ACC has a rule that requires a school to post the exit fee in escrow before they even talk to other conferences. Each school is going to sing the ACC's praises right up until they leave. I suspect some junior office flunky wrote the press release, so I wouldn't read too much into it.
