Did someone say they are getting all the calls? A very generous PI on Malcolm Butler gave the Giants 3 points and thought he holding call on Blount's TD wasn't wrong, it was the type of holding you see every play.

It's more like we learned clock management from the Giants. Dummies could have won by running the clock down to 30 seconds and win with a 3. I was on the phone with my Boston area friend and predicted that if the Giant's didn't run the clock down to well under a minute, and had to settle for a FG with over a minute left, the Pats would win. The Jints didn't need a TD. They needed to run the Pats out of time. At least the second loss by the Giants through lousy clock management.

It's more like we learned clock management from the Giants. Dummies could have won by running the clock down to 30 seconds and win with a 3. I was on the phone with my Boston area friend and predicted that if the Giant's didn't run the clock down to well under a minute, and had to settle for a FG with over a minute left, the Pats would win. The Jints didn't need a TD. They needed to run the Pats out of time. At least the second loss by the Giants through lousy clock management.

I always said that the reason the Giants were so deadly against the Pats is that Coughlin is the only coach who doesn't let Belichick get into his head, he sticks to the gameplan and keeps the simple coaching decisions simple. Well all of that went out the window in the last 2 mins.

Patriot talent won that game. Malcolm Butler won the game for the Patriots. Knocking the ball away from Beckham saved the TD and forced the FG. He played Beckham tough all game. Our DB's will need to come up big on Saturday. If Kyle Postma, the Cougar back up QB plays, we have a real shot at the win. His mind numbing performance as an emergency fill in won't look or feel quite the same to him once he has a chance to think about starting the game. We can compete with Houston if Postma plays. We'll struggle if Greg Ward plays. But either way we still have a shot. We certainly have the talent.

I disagree. The Pats had a time out and the 2 minute warning. This gives Brady the ball with about 1:10 down 2. I'd prefer he have to go the extra 35-40 yards with an extra 50 seconds and 1 TO, especially since it could be a 7 point game if they get the 2 point conversion. I've seen Belicheck let teams score to give Brady more time. The fact that they didn't want to do that makes me think going for the TD was the right move.

fair argument but with three plays to score from the five, i still would've powered up and run the ball at least; giving up a clock stoppage was not smart. would've been moot if the giants got that pick on the first play of the pats drive.

Sorry, but REALLY bad clock management by Big Blue. First and goal at the 5 with 2:01 left. Run the ball to get to the 2 minute warning. Run the ball again to force the Pats to use their final time out. Run the ball again to keep the clock ticking down. THEN kick the damned field goal.If, in running the ball, a touchdown is scored, so much the better. Instead, we saw the results. Sickening from a G-Men fan's standpoint.

That was Belichick being Belichick. On first down he loaded up the line to stop the run thereby hoping the Giants would bite and try a pass. Manning fell for it and audibled. Coach Cap is correct. They should have run three times, made the Pat's use the time out which would have left them with a long field and little time. After the first long catch by Beckham Jr., Butler smothered him. As a Pat's fan I was thrilled, but the Giants blew it. This time it wasn't about talent. It was all about poor coaching on Coughlin's part (he should have ordered Manning to run the play that was called) and brilliant coaching by Belichick, who goaded the Giants into passing on first down--ludicrous in that spot. He also ordered his kickoff returner to stay in the end zone to conserve time.

lol seriously? first, he took the lowly browns to the playoffs in 94 and then had a bad record in 95 when modell decided to announce that the team was moving to baltimore in the middle of the season--awful position for BB to be in. Before that, well publicized as an incredible coordinator with the giants. Managed to win 11 games with Matt freakin Cassell...have you seen how he's done elsewhere?!? But you're right, Belichick is useless and just happens to have had his dead end career saved by his messiah QB.

The argument was that his third season was a successful one and his forth was marred by basically the folding of the Cleveland Browns mid-season. And again, he won 11 games with Matt Cassel. I agree with you regarding some coach/quarterback combos where the coaches aren't worthy of the praise, but even having an elite QB doesn't guarantee anything. Manning, Favre and Marino are without doubt three of the most prolific quarterbacks and only have 2 rings between them. You think if Brady were to be replaced with any of those three BB wouldn't have had the same level of success? I think BB is a master at getting the perfect personnel at the right price around his quarterback and that's paid huge dividends

No different than great jockeys and race car drivers. They can use strategy and cunning to prevail from time to time, but they seem to win more when the horse and the car are superior. It's the same with great coaches, what matters most is "talented" personnel.
