DeAndre has no chance for the NBA right now. He can't make any play at all today. Our guys were very impatient today and forced many shots. This SMU team has very good defense.
Ridiculous statementThe NBA doesn't care about today's game. They care about potential.
Why do people continual confuse this well know point.
DD will absolutely get drafted if he comes out. Anyone who thinks he won't because he is inconsistent or had a bad SMU game isn't really paying attention.Ridiculous statement
we've seen the potential maybe 4 games out of 28 - potential is kids coming out of HS not juniors
If you think an NBA scout who watched Daniels today (and all this year) would take him in the 1st two rounds you're crazy. Weighs less than 200 lbs, doesn't mix it up under the boards,The NBA doesn't care about today's game. They care about potential.

Lol! Dd isn't getting drafted in the first round with his skills. Sorry too inconsistent and too many good players in this years draft. Maybe 2nd round but where is he going to play in the NBA. Too skinny for PF and too slow and not a great shot for SF. 2nd round maybe but more likely Europe. Why do posters on this board so overrate our players. Only two potential nba players on the roster SN and AB. DD has his chance to show his versatility and he hasn't shown it enough. Maybe palatine was talking about nbdl draft? LolDD will absolutely get drafted if he comes out. Anyone who thinks he won't because he is inconsistent or had a bad SMU game isn't really paying attention.
You must either be a relative of his or shooting to be his agent.. let's just say Daniels hasn't added to his aura that he had at the end of last year.I'm sure the NBA hates his 6-9 body that can add weight and his athleticism and his 40% average from the arc.
They are going to say that he had a bad game when the PG had 5 TO and 1 assist so let's not draft him.
I know we lost and folks are frustrated but some folks around here are completely clueless.
I think people are just so frustrated with DD not stepping up in the big games consistently enough. Hard for SN to go 1 against 5 every game to win it. I'm not giving up but just wish her DD from then end of last year would show up. This was suppose to be a breakout year for him. Without DD playing well we have no chance for a sweet 16 let alone a final four or NC. Frustrating to our fans. Note to KO don't play OC anymore he looks lost out there. Give the freshman some more time to develop.Seriously, who really cares if he plays in the NBA or not?
Odd thing to focus on when we got a team losing games they should and quite frankly need to win.

Dude, you are so clueless.DD will absolutely get drafted if he comes out. Anyone who thinks he won't because he is inconsistent or had a bad SMU game isn't really paying attention.

Would love to bet you that he doesn't get drafted in the first round unless he finds the old DD from the end of last year. Not a great handle, inconsistent shot from outside and not any bulk to play inside. What is so special about him if he isn't mixing it up and trying to score inside? He is a good college player that is it at this point. RS is similar player and he is a second round player. I just don't see NBA player with his present skill set and mind set.No I'm just a guy who watches basketball and every year sees the NBA draft potential ( and prototypical bodies) ahead of production. Every single year.
Coach PP liked to look at prototypical bodies as well.No I'm just a guy who watches basketball and every year sees the NBA draft potential ( and prototypical bodies) ahead of production. Every single year.
One of the horde called SMU's front court "thick" in a good way prior to the game. I think it is an apt description. They are just big and when UConn isn't hitting 3's and they can pack it in, the rotations do not have to cover as much ground and their bulk and length help them close the gaps all the quicker.
Very perceptive. We seemed unable to make the adjustments which might have helped. Relied on one-on-one offense and rarely showed any patience.Larry Brown is a HOF coach for a reason. Kept things simple and exploited our front court the entire game. SMU is also a joy to watch in terms of rotations and help defense. If Brown sticks around SMU for a few more years they'll build something pretty darn good there.
Man how did Temple and USF do it?
