We try and get tickets every year behind the uconn bench or as close as possible. This means the visitor side section 121, as it was last year and all past Georgetown games I've attended - would be on the right hand side from the main TV camera. Got there early and all seemed normal with the UConn camp setting up on the right hand side, but with about 5min before tip, the teams switched benches and we were instead behind the Georgetown bench, and uconn switched to left hand side of the TV screen.

Was any explanation given on TV? Very odd to us. Was wondering if it was a psych job by Georgetown as it put the uconn bench closest to the student section.

Yea. It was strange seeing things swapped. I think Gtown made the switch at the beginning of the season. The student section and band was also moved to the other end where the visitors bench is now.

I did not hear an explanation but saw UConn fans behind the Georgetown bench and thought it was odd.

Were the a lot of UConn fans at the game . Georgetown averages about 4k but today announced 17k

I thought there were a lot of UConn fans there, but it definitely wasn’t a full arena. There was a smattering around me. I wondered if any of the UConn fans I was high-fiving when the good guys went up 22 were Yarders.

I got my tickets across from the UConn bench to have a good view of coach. I was disappointed to see the benches switched, but Cooley was entertaining as well

Crowd was still very very good for UConn. Not quite the absurd 80-20 split in our favor from last year, but still pushing 50-50. My section in the lower bowl, the one that ended up being right across from the UConn bench after the switch, was about 75% UConn fans.
