Think this describes this squad pretty accurately. We've had the Cardiac Kids before, we've been the odds on favorites a couple times over, our days of Cinderella are long since past...but today, and this season as a whole, we are ugly. Ugly as hell. Nothing we do is smooth, not even our runs. Purvis wants a dribble on his catch and shoots, that's his actual preference ...what?! We stumble, trip, lose the ball off our own feet (I see you, Ryan), hell even our streetsweeper bench celebration is all out of sync anytime we hit a triple.
But that's okay, it's our identity this season. We lose ugly and we win the same way. Hard to watch because we've never really had a team like this, a constantly fluctuating method of madness, but it's working. We're learning as we go, ironing it out as we grind. As long as we keep finding ways to sew it up, bending but not breaking, I'm good with it.
Go Huskies!
