Great game going on in Seattle - back & forth all the way (18 lead changes so far). 26 seconds left, Liberty lead Storm 84-83. KML left with leg injury in Q4 (knee? ankle? No info so far).

EDIT: Liberty win 84-83 after Storm barely miss final shot and 2 putbacks.

Mercedes Russell had a career game with 19 points for the Storm.

Tina 26 & Kia 24 for the Liberty

Great game. Charles had her best game of the season, Nurse played great too. Russell led the way for Seattle but missed a pair of FTs late. Last possession was a little painful for Jordin Canada...Seattle had a full shot clock to work with and Canada started the play way too late, launching a shot with about 3 seconds left. Seattle got the offensive rebound but missed a layup and time expired as Russell was getting the 2nd o-board and would've been in perfect position for a layup. Great game overall though.

Seattle really misses Loyd right now...Howard has especially struggled with her out. She's shot 18/61 (29.5%) in 4 games without Jewell.

Let's go Liberty. :D:D:D

Charles and Nurse will lead the way. I guess Asia did not have a good game. :(

She missed her last 4 FTs. Otherwise played great, 7-8 from the floor.

She got the ball to Howard w/ some time left, Howard tried to do something, but it went nowhere. Kicked it back out to Canada w/ too little time to do anything other than that heave.

Yes, the Storm's first action was well defended but Canada's last shot was not a heave  but a reasonable 3 pt shot taken with her normal shooting form. She just missed but there was time for a rebound in traffic which just leaked out. Both teams missed good shots in the last minute. Just a good competitive game overall.

Fair enough. Yeah Canada's shot looked decent, it just rimmed out. So did the follow up by...Clark I think?

There was time but Jordin waited way too long to start the play. Maybe she was instructed to, but when you're down 1 late IMO you want to get a good look early enough so you can crash the glass or foul if needed with enough time to get the ball back for one more look. I dont think the actual play started until there were 8 or 9 seconds left so she dribbled for 17-18 seconds. Play should've started with 15-17 seconds left IMO.

Seattle misses Sue, Canada is a poor shooter, except on layups. She is often out of control. It's ok to play fast, but she needs to be under control. Would love a healthy Moriah in Seattle.

She's gotta get healthy and prove she can stay that way. It's been quite a while. Her rookie year was her most productive and she's missed a lot of games since then.

Best part of the story. ;)

It also didn’t help that Liberty center Tina Charles exploded for 11 of her 26 points in the fourth quarter.

“She created catch-and-shot opportunities,” Hughes said. “She made a 3. She went inside. They weren’t all low block things. It’s hard for us to bring congestion to a player that makes a decisive move before we get there in situations. We ultimately went to some size (defending) her, trying to help that. But they played to her well, and she delivered.”

Lexie Brown returns to foresst of Eastern CT saturday with the Lynx. Im hoping she provides me with an early birthday present and drops 38 pts on the SUN. (38 would equal the amount of points she scored for the CT franchise last season) The game will be on ESPN2 at 2pm.

Indiana is up 12 on Dallas in 3Q. Neither team looks very good, to be honest. I can't imagine Moriah gets very excited seeing this team she's been traded to, even if it is in her hometown.

Get ready, Arike's about to take a whole bunch of shots.

I missed the first half of the Storm game. Apparently I didn't miss much. 32-24 Atlanta lead. But Seattle jumped out to an early 11-0 lead, so they absolutely stunk most of the half. I think losing Loyd was one injury too many. They won their first game without her but everything has been a struggle lately.

Washington is jumping all over Las Vegas. It's looking like it's the Mystics...and then there's everybody else. Nobody even close to them right now.

Okay, had to switch games, too painful. Nurse is continuing her strong recent play, had 17 in the first half. Griner had 19. Tied at 44 early in Q3.

Again, Liberty erased an early double digit lead. :D

I switched back again. Hughes just got tossed, Zellous got a T as well. Absolutely pathetic flop gets rewarded w/ an offensive foul call...that came about 5 seconds late. There were 2 passes after the non-contact before the call was made. Refs are the worst.

At least 3 of the 4 home teams are losing by double digits. Only the Mercury are holding home court at the moment although the liberty are breathing down their back. 64-63 Mercury entering Q4.

Kia Nurse had a spectacular game, 26 points on a very efficient 8-11 (4-6 FG3 and 6-6 FT).
Tina Charles had 23 and 12.
Asia Durr also had 10 points.

Griner had 30 in the losing effort.
