@EvanDanielsFOX: Josh Perkins is down to UCLA, Gonzaga & Minnesota. Decision this weekend.

No shock.

Expected, but still really like his game. Basically we have to land Snider now. Would be disappointing to whiff on McLaughlin, Perkins, Snider, and Joseph.

Disappointing, yes. And I definitely want Snider, but I'm not sure landing him is "do or die," especially now that Samuel is in the clear.

Kid looks like he has game but I have a feeling this will work out very well for us, I get the impression Perkins thinks of himself as a 1 and done and his begging for a scholarship from Kentucky made me wary.

Agreed. But damn do I love a point guard with that kind of passing flair.

perkins was real good, to bad. if we don't get snider(i think we do), then the chance we get dorsey in 2015 improve dramatically imo. also assuming we don't get JM

I hope your optimism about Samuel is merited.

If not, with the talent we're going to have at the 2, 3, and 4, our offense will be like a Porsche with the engine of a Honda Civic.

Not fair on that, dad seemed like a good guy and the kid had a tough choice, we hung in didn't win this one....happens, hope he does well with his choice!

I hope he gets the "touches" he & his dad claim Josh needs somewhere. He definitely seems to be a talented passer, but seems to like the fancy pass over the most practical pass. While he never misses a shot in his YouTube videos, his form looks shaky. I didn't like his "I'm no one's 2nd option", yet clamored for a KenSucky offer, which never came. I'm not sure if Ollie pulled back or the Perkins family made it seem like UConn was unwilling to schedule a visit. Whatever, move on. I actually have been rooting for McLaughlin, though that seems to be a long shot as well. Snider could be a nice pick up too. Hard to get a read about him.

Someone tweet that UConn has cut its list and Josh Perkins isn't on it.

See how he likes them apples.

I hope he gets rickets and scabies. And bedbugs.

How about we tweet back that UCONN does not accept Josh's dismissal and will continue to be in the mix until decision day. That means if he parades college caps for him to choose, he has to buy a UCONN cap to formally reject. That'll send a message.

I always got the impression that his Dad is very concerned he go somewhere he can play A LOT right away and get exposure. I think so many people on this board have written off Boatright's senior season that they just assume recruits see it the same way and I doubt that is the case.

I said that a few weeks ago and I was ripped apart. Boatright is going nowhere until he graduates.

I don't know about that at all. We all know he really, really wants to go. And it's pretty unlikely he'll be a high draft pick even after his senior year.

As you probably know, Dorsey in 2015 is a huge long shot.
Sounds like Arizona will be tough to beat.

Recent snippets from Dave Telep:
• ESPN 60 shooting guard Tyler Dorsey (Los Angeles/St. John Bosco) said Arizona has been on him the longest. “They’re the most visible,” he said. “Been there since day one.”
• No. 8 junior Tyler Dorsey (Los Angeles/St. John Bosco) said most of the Pac-12 is on him. Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, Florida, Connecticut and Louisville are also in the mix. When asked who was the most visible team this summer, he didn’t hesitate: “Arizona. They’ve been there since Day One.”

One thing to consider with Arizona is that TD's youth teammate (Parker Jackson-Cartwright) with ARC basketball is already pledged there for 2014. That could be good or bad. Since Parker can only play the PG position and TD wants to be a PG.

I hope to see him (& DHam) play in a HS Fall league that starts mid September.
