Where they get these stats though, lol. I watched 8/11 of his games and saw

17.0 PPG
5.1 RPG
1.5 APG

1.8 TO
1.1 STL
1.8 BLK

55% FG
40% 3FG
76% FT

He would have to average 28 rebounds a game to get to 11.1 RPG lol.

I think he starts by the middle of January similar to Sanogo. Really talented kid. Elite shooter, great perimeter defender, athletic. Once the handle and passing catch up, he's going to be the best in the big east.

That's when JC turned the tide, getting a couple of Mr. Basketballs.
Like Hazletom.:D

Smitty was one of the first and rightly praised by JC as the lynchpin of the turnaround.

But it was the 1991 class with Donyell, Donnie, Brian Fair, KO, Rudy Johnson, etc that had four or five state POY's in the class.

That's when it started to become the norm that UConn level recruits are state POY's.

Remember back when Yarders said Rudy Johnson's Mr. Basketball didn't count because the award "contained scholastic factors"? I do.

He was from Jacksonville, FL. I can't imagine the academic hurdle was too high in the early 90's. Not a knock on Rudy.

I think we should see who plays well starting this week, have healthy competition and see who steps up?
