-> Head Coach Jim Mora and additional members of the football coaching staff will be visiting Urban Lodge Brewing in Manchester, CT to meet Husky fans and talk about the upcoming season. The event will be held on Tuesday, June 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Those attending will also have the opportunity to win tickets, prizes and more! Food and beverages will be available for purchase. <-

Didn't like the tone in the e-mail sent. It had a link to register for this event with the caveat:
Registration does not guarantee entry to event as event is first come first served & then closed once at capacity...

should they violate the capacity limit?

Nothing wrong with that, it would be worse not be warn you. My guess is that they usually get more reservations than show ups. So they are accounting for that.

They are expecting a good crowd. We will go up early, and if we get shutout I can see a pit stop at Illicit before driving back home :)

Nice event, not the crowd that was probably expected, but good for a cold rainy night. I showed up with my brother and got a beer and it was just a few minutes after 5. It looked like there was already a t-shirt giveaway that we missed. All the tables were full so we didn't feel like ordering food.

A few assistants talked to us about recruits and the upcoming season. They settled into a crowd of coaches next to us, and Mora showed up and joined in their little group but did not mingle.

Eventually Mora spoke to the crowd and answered questions, nothing ground-breaking, but it was refreshing that there was no NIL money pitch, he was just thankful for the fans and a push to get our friends out to the Rent.

After the talk, we decided to bolt for food, so we were not sure about the promised giveaways or if Mora mingled with the crowd.

We ended up at Barts with new ownership. Still the great hot dogs with toasted buns and excellent fries, but they've added good beer. I will definitely be back.

Mora mentioned that having a winning season last year has helped in recruiting high school players. He talked about about focusing a little more on high school recruiting and less on the transfer portal because they are starting to get better high school recruits. This might explain our larger and higher rated 2026 recruiting class.
