  1. Tarris starting strong as usual, but sitting early after his first foul.
  2. Timeout. Catching my breath. 28 to 11 with 7:27 to go in the half.
  3. Darling is one of those dirty players that looks shocked whenever he gets called for a foul.
  4. Reed Is in the zone tonight.
  5. Oh no. Letting them crawl back into it -- 21 point lead down to 15 at the break.
  6. There was about a 7 minute stretch in the first half where we played our best ball the season.
  7. At the half, in 13 minutes of playing time, Tarris has 14 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 1 foul.
  8. We went for 48/38/80% shooting, to StJ's 32/30/57%.
  9. Boards, dimes, TOs, steals, blocks go 21/1/2/3/2 to 17/7/5/0/3.
  10. St John's lowest scoring in a half this year.
  11. At the half, I was hoping Tarris could give us 2 halves of outstanding ball tonight -- then he produced our first 4 points of half #2!
  12. Between 14:10 and 13:50 of the second half, went on a quick spurt that left us with a 23 point lead, 54-31.
  13. At one point, Tarris went out for a rest, but Reibe screwed up so badly that Tarris was back in the game after 11 seconds.
  14. Up 30 with 10:07 left.
  15. Shooting percentages for the game: 47/28/82% to 20/25/76%
  16. And the boards, dimes, TOs, steals & blocks: 41/20/5/6/9 to 37/8/8/0/4.
  17. Reed's line was just incredible. 20 points on 9 of 14 from the field and 2 for 2 from the line; 11 boards, 3 dimes, 2 steals and 6 blocks.
  18. Our 2nd leading rebounder was Demary with 8!
  19. All in all, an encouraging game to watch, and hopefully a sign that we're rounding into shape for the soon to arrive post season.

#19. That may well be the most understated comment about tonight's game that anyone will make anywhere.

I like your post game threads @RichZ, but the best you could come up with was it was "an encouraging game to watch"?

Man, that was an absolute butt-whooping and humiliation that none of us could have predicted would happen. And until the game got to 30+ points, we were more locked in on both offense and defense than we have been since 2024.

I would say that game was far beyond encouraging, and I am rarely one for hyperbole. We play like that, and we are a championship contender. Period.

Glad you thought holding St. John's to 0-24 from the field in the final 17:28 of the game was encouraging.

Especially for how much nervous anticipation preceded this game, it was a perfect game for the unfolding in real time ThoughtZ™ format. Thank you.

#13. I think Reibe got called for 2 cheap fouls then.
Three of the fouls called against Rene were ridiculous and all called by O’Connell. On one Zuby grabbed him and fell to the floor. On two others as soon as they locked up inside O’Connell immediately called a foul
