*Max DeLorenzo had his first career touchdown and was the most effective running back with six carries for 46 yards. For the second straight week Weist said he wished he had more patience in the running game.

Interesting.

That wasn't Max's first career TD was it? Didn't he have one against... UMass maybe?

Hmm UConn site shows same. Getting old sucks. Could have sworn he scored last year.

Listened to the post game and Joe D's call said first of the year instead of first varsity touchdown which he usually goes with in those cases.

Recovered a blocked kick for a touchdown on specials last year.

Weist seems to struggle seeing the forest through the trees when on the sidelines. Max was having his way but Weist shut him down.

I remember in the beginning of the year when I was begging for some DLo, you told me the answer wasn't on our sidelines. Your tune seems to have changed.

THe play calling thing IS interesting. You look at this coaching staff, and we don't have a whole hell of a lot of experience in play callers.

They are learning on the fly too. It's real easy to outthink yourself on the field, if you let yourself. When we start being able to run over the left side like we were today, you just got to keep calling it until they stop it. And we need to work on our goal line offense - big time.

You don't "keep calling it until they stop it". You keep calling it until the D adjusts to try to stop it ... Then you fake it and expose them.

Cincy's wildcat was a perfect example.
