Look at your keyboard..."sin" is a tupo.

So you think that's my typo???

Directly from the Courant:
"AAC To return To Mohegan Sun
After announcing its men's tournament will move to the XL Center in 2015, the American Athletic Conference will announce Thursday that it will return its women's tournament to the Mohegan Sin Arena for the second straight season. … The Sun signed Kelsey Griffith to a long-term extension on Monday.

John is a professional journalist working the CT Sun beat for the "paper of record" in Connecticut... in that circumstance typos are not OK no matter how close the 'u' and 'i' are on the keyboard. And getting the player's name wrong is > not OK, its bush league.
Besides, I'm a Sun season ticket holder and I've had better days, so please just let me be pi55ed off. [not a typo]

It could be a joke....when we were in the "Old" Big East, several of the Catholic colleges would not allow the conference tournament to be played at a casino. Ergo, "Mohegan Sin." I know JA found that amusing. I do, too, since now ND will be playing in a tournament there this fall, and they were quite vociferously negative about the venue previously. JMO ( Ozzie? That help? Or wrong typo?)

I thought of that, but there is no context for it...maybe a Freudian Slip of the keyboard.

The declining revenues of the print media have forced changes. Among them, the disappearance of proofreaders, writers are now told to use their "spell-checkers". Except "sin", like "sun", is a real word and will not be caught by a spellcheck program.
