It was pretty slim for visitors two weeks ago...maybe today there wasn't anybody there? John's a great guy and has a sense of perspective about issues, so it's always fun to hear his take on the UConn team. I'm always busy Wednesday late morning or I'd drop on by and see what's up. Make sure everyone who can head over there does, otherwise the Courant might pull the plug on these chats!

Ok, now that I've read it, one item of interest:

Depending on brackets, John's Final Four picks:

Baylor
UConn
Duke
Maryland

At least one surprise in there.

There was also a thought-provoking discussion of Dolson vs Appel, with John opining that Dolson is already a better player than Appel.

Yeah, I found that interesting. Stef can do things that Jayne cannot, but Jayne was a dominant rebounder and AA player as a junior, I believe. Can Stef make an AA first team, especially this year?

Hello Milford! I think Stefanie has played well enough to be an AA this year. The main problem is about 6'8". Even if we beat Baylor this year and Dolson outplays her, Griner will be 1st Team AA. Therefore in a traditional 5 player first team with the 2 guards, 2 forwards and a center format, no, Stefanie will not be a first team AA. If we look at the State Farm team with 10 players, then yes, I think she has a very good chance. In my opinion, we could have 3 players on that team - Dolson, KML and Faris, but I doubt that happens.
