#UConn led the Big East in scoring margin for 20th straight season but failed to be No. 1 in scoring for 1st time in 18 seasons

#UConn's Tiffany Hayes shattered the Big East record for 3-point percentage, hitting 59.1 percent in 16 league games.

Tiff shot .593 (FGs), .591 (3pt), and .800 (FTs) in conference and .539/.465/.806 overall. Those are definitely All-American numbers.

ND led the BE in scoring. They are a balanced and talented team, and they score in bunches at the FT line.

BE scoring leaders (top 5):

RODGERS, Sugar-GU JR 28 176 73 110 535 19.1
MARTIN, Anna-DPU JR 30 203 59 106 571 19.0
CREW, Jasmine-SHU SR 30 182 27 165 556 18.5
DIGGINS, Skylar-ND JR 30 180 25 138 523 17.4
HAYES, Tiffany-UCONN SR 30 160 40 116 476 15.9

Shooting stats in percent (overall for Rodgers, BE games for the others)

Rodgers .349/.296/.833
Martin .440/.321/.861
Crew .343/.205/.829
Diggins .508/.316/.788
Hayes .593/.591/.800

Some good foul shooters, to be sure. Tiff's percentage from the arc is DOUBLE that of Sugar Rodgers and nearly TRIPLE that of Jasmine Crew. In fact, none of the other 4 is in Tiff''s league in 3-point shooting. Overall from the floor, Tiff outshoots Rodgers and Crew by about .250! Tiffany Hayes has had a very, very efficient season.

Hell, so apparently, if Faris took the same number of attempts as Sugar, she could score the same number if not more points?? ;0) .404/.295/.778

Those numbers for Tiffany deserve much respect. It's official, her not being on the Wooden list is a shafting.

I agree. Sugar Rodgers get a lot of notoriety, but she is clearly a volume shooter, not an efficient shooter. I think an All-American has to shoot well over .400, certainly over .350! Something like .450 for a guard. Shooting .593 is outstanding and deserves to be recognized!

Additional point: In BE scoring, Tiff averaged 17.3. Skylar was at 17.8, only slightly more.
