He looks like he's been working on his jumper which is nice to see. There was a lot more form and follow through in that video than I'm used to seeing when watching him play.

I don't think I'd be able to handle watching Kemba and my man , Jerome Dyson in the backcourt together at times. I think I'll explode or pass out . Seriously. MJ please make it happen if he's ready.

Quite frankly, I have not analyzed the roster but I will say this. I do think Jerome has changed his game prep approach based on a conversation I had with him a year ago. While he always played hard - where he has developed is his game prep and mentality. While Coach loved him for how hard he played, sometimes he would be stubborn in being receptive to coaching. He has I believe largely corrected these things. As Coach told him you can only make a different future you can't change past mistakes. Wishing him the best - I believe he is sincere about the changes he has made both on and off the court.

He had that one game for the other Hornets where he had like 20 something points, during their "tank for davis" season

Let's get the silverback Jeff Adrien in there too. Man I wish dyson all the luck in the world, id love to see him squeak onto a roster, and this way Charlotte doesn't need to draft Shabazz to ride the pine, and maybe he can end up playing for a solid team

Actually no, Okafor played for Charlotte when they were known as the Bobcats, so Dyson will be the first.

I hope he's matured on all fronts. He often played hard, but picked up more charges than any UConn player I can remember. It seemed like about 2 per game. He seemed to improve in that area before he got hurt but then reverted back
to that myopic approach. He was not very good at finding open teammates either.

JD also seemed like a tough teammate to get along with. He had a harsh way of picking on some of his teammates which was his way of being funny, but I often noticed that his teammates seemed a bit uneasy around him. The team seemed really uptight and not having much fun.

Don't get me wrong. I'm rooting for him to succeed. I've always said that he had a lot of NBA game in him and hope he's improved his game and matured as a person.

When we talked I told him the hardest change will be looking for open teammates two steps before they get open - that's a skill that takes some time to develop even if the desire is there - which quite frankly wasn't previously. A pass was generally a bailout pass - if he couldn't take his man.

Yeah, really. He wasn't my favorite player when he was here but he's stuck with it and continues to improve his game. He always played hard and IIRC left with a degree.

The problem with the pajama and slipper posters in their parents basement crew is largely they never played the game except for maybe as a video game. They also don't have human relationships or conversations with people except for in cyber-World. They are unable to break down someone's game or appreciate that discussion since it's not part of the instructions to their NBA video game. Lacking any insight of their own - they post posts lacking meaningful content - instead they resort to emotion, fads or attacks on posters who actually want to discuss the game itself. When a player matures as Jerome has now they enjoy that type of conversation not the tell them how great they are crowd on twitter.

You misunderstood. He's just asking you to stop lying in such a transparent way.

Hey Chief when is Terry Larrier committing again?

I appreciate your fanhood for UConn. But you really come off as an arrogant jerk. You constantly condescend fellow posters. You make statements that anyone could get to by watching a 1 minute YouTube clip, and throw in a "quite frankly" then articulate your words in a way to make it seem as if UConn recruiting revolves around you. I believe you mentioned at some point you had a "source," but that's not what I would call the equipment manager's fifth cousin twice removed. Come back to planet Earth, please.

Sincerely, The Boneyard

No, I think he's onto something. When I talked to Jerome last week me and Kemba told him he had to work on his drive and dish if he wants to get anywhere. Then I gave Bazz some tips on his jumpshot. Too bad Tate George stopped by and tried to sell us a timeshare.

Love Jerome, tough as nails.

But he had a negative assist to TO ratio in Italy. On an NBA squad, he is 3rd or 4th guy off the bench in a very specific. He can speed up a game, attack the rim, and play aggressive D. In the right situation with the right coach, he can be a successful player but his window is closing.

I am so rooting for him.

I hope he makes it so this board can beat him up some more, keeping him relevant. I already see posters are snapping at the bit. I do miss him.

Both played for the Hornets when they were in New Orleans.

True, but I meant when each team was actively called the Hornets. When Okafor played in Charlotte, they were still the Bobcats.
