The whole McD's process is more political these days. If a recruit choses the "right" school, they can become a McD's High School All American, even if they aren't an elite recruit. It's all subjective that past 5-10 years. Seriously, look at Puke! Quinn Cook & Marshall Plumlee were McD's All Americans, while they were barely Top 50 recruits. Marshall has hardly played at Puke. Cook is finally getting some PT & doing ok. Our very own Alex O was a good recruit, but he wasn't worthy of a McD's All American by most recruiting services but he signed with UConn. It's like voting in a Prom King & Queen these days.
