Jayden Ross Attending Jayson Tatum's Camp

Are these camps invite only? If so it’s great to see Ross making that kind of impression. Also in the same breath wonder where Stewart may camp and other young guys.

AK attended last year

Ross is a fascinating player. Great size and athleticism but didnt show much as a freshmen although to be fair the minutes simply werent there. I mean its crazy to think Solo was pretty darn good early and even he found himself out of the rotation as the season progressed. But anyway the talent to make an impact is there and if he does that creates a great logjam of talent for playing time. I hope he breaks out and shows the promise many of us and of course Hurley and Co. saw coming out of HS.

Great for him. I think he's really a big guard more than a traditional 3. His handle and passing ability surprised me. He has the traits to become a + defender as well. If he develops an outside shot, he'll make some noise.

I thought that is what he was known for, even out of high school?

He was a point guard through his sophomore year in high school. Between sophomore and junior year he grew six inches. He’s still adjusting to his body and new role.

Watched a few of his and Solo’s AAU games. Both players gave 100% effort the entire game. In one game their team was down around twenty with a few minutes remaining and no chance of winning. Yet those two played like the game was tied.

I’ve been a fan of Ross’s since watching him in those games. He’s got speed, hops, skills, character and desire.

It’s difficult to identify but I think the thing holding him back is his upper body and lower body are not fully integrated. He’s a little herky jerky, not fully coordinated. I would love to see tapes of his play before that growth spurt.

If he can adapt to his new body I believe he will be special.

I believe this was before the growth spurt.

I believe this was before the growth spurt.

Thanks. Those videos show his pg skills and his reputation as a 3 pt shooter. Ross was a bean pole. He started filling out but could fill out some more. Seems to have the body for it.
