never saw this posted, this kid is special.
idk, didnt like his gamehoping Jalen takes the kind of freshman to sophomore year leap that Terry Rozier did for Louisville a couple of years ago.
Since Ollie likes to look for matchups, be interesting to see with Adams' height and shot if he'll have Adams post up on the block
Last 17 games of last season:It's going to be real interesting with Jalen this year. I don't know what his 3 point or mid range shooting percentages were but if he worked on his shot this summer he could be a takeover type point guard this year.
1) If all you needed was height and/or length to be a successful back to the basket player, Brimah would be a lot better offensively.Since Ollie likes to look for matchups, be interesting to see with Adams' height and shot if he'll have Adams post up on the block
Last 17 games of last season:
9.2 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 3.1 apg
Jalen's issue wasn't that he's a poor shooter, it's that he took poor shots. Once he learned a little bit more about his game and the college game, he was a very effective PG.
- 44% FG
- 40% (8-20) 3FG
- 90% (28-31) FT
Marcus Smart used to too with Forte on the wing as a nice kick out option.Outside of Iowa State using DeAndre Kane in the post a few years, nobody posts up their guards in college.
Just to piggy back on that, a lot of it was freshman jitters and nerves. The game speeds up and as a freshman point guard, it just is too much to take in at first. Even Tyus Jones had a mediocre at best first half of his freshman year at Duke. It just takes time. Those percentages are ridiculous for a freshman pg. Now that he is the presumptive number 1b offensive option (1a Purvis), those avgs could EASILY double
