As unconventional as it is, he should be given serious consideration for the MVP award. Not all previous MVPs were from the winning team in Maui. He was 8 points away from breaking the all time scoring record, all while shooting well over 50%!

He was great but you can't have that many turnovers and be MVP.

your turn around time on this was incredible. well done. Adams was forced into his own breakout party but he answered the call. definitely impressed with his level of play - i hope we can develop players around him to compliment his high level ability to drive and finish at the rim

Ollie is also going to have to be careful not to wear him out. You could tell the last 4-5 minutes of the game he was pretty tired. It's going to be tough to put him on the bench if it's anywhere near a close game though.

I was thinking this too.
It's one of the things I remember about Bazz and Kemba playing all the elimination games in '11 and '14. Playing virtually every minute plus all of the OT periods to boot. Amazing how durable and tenacious those kids were.
But there's always a risk.

If you take off your UConn glasses for a minute, you will realize that they went 1-2 and barely held a lead. Surely, there is another player more deserving. Great effort by Jalen though.

They wont play 3 games in 3 days until the AAC tournament.

He's not MVP only because of the 1st half of okst.

But wow is he an elite finisher. His long range jumper is much improved too. He didn't take too many threes but there's 5 or 6 long twos in there as well.

His passing ability is solid too but not great. He needs to learn to pass a little more in the half court and no just when in attack mode or off a broken defense. Actually no, because he's leaving for the league if he does!

Still no left hand. I just can't comprehend how he's able to finish these scoops from 10 ft out, leaders, off balance floaters and al with ease. A little like tony Parker in that regard?

He may not be MVP. but he DID make the All Tournament Team. Deservedly so.
