A while ago I posted about Pulp Fiction, and some folks here said Jackie Brown might be an even more entertaining movie. Well, finally watched it - and I'm now watching it again tonight. When a person watches the same movie two nights in a row, you know it's something special. What great performances - and the dialog was classic Tarantino/Samuel L. Jackson, great stuff. One thing I really liked about this movie is that it wasn't a bloody violent mess. It was just a great story with great characters played by very very good actors. Thanks for recommending it. Oh, and Pam Grier just rocks it, never got into the blaxploitation flicks, so I wasn't familiar with her, but good God am I now.

It's one of the last movies Bridgette Fonda was in.

You say it like she died.

Great movie, more watchable than Pulp Fiction in my mind. I don't, but supposedly, if you are from LA it makes even more sense.

As an Elmore Leonard fan, I thought Tarantino did a great job of capturing the rhythm and tone of his style of conversation. Pulp Fiction will always top my list of favorite Tarantino movies, just because of my reaction at seeing it the first time, but Jackie Brown is #2 for sure.

PF was so "original" at the time and very well executed. JB is one of those movies that gets better with each viewing. Plus, my lifelong crush on Pam Grier makes it a classic.

I'm drawn to her, but scared of her. Interesting combination.

While I've watched Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs many times, only recently did I watch Jackie Brown for the second time after it first came out. Holy cow I forgot how good it was. And the soundtrack is probably the best soundtrack of any Tarantino film.
