Well, to be fair then, Illinois-Michigan State is roughly a coin flip too (MSU 9, Illinois 10), and it avoids the rematch.

Izzo and Calhoun are good friends too. I think he just has a lot of respect for the UConn program. Michigan st is a very likeable team and I've always had the upmost respect for Izzo. The guy can coach
