He's the kind of clutch, take-charge kind of kid that Kemba was.
I know he twisted his ankle last night and played through it but he made some really boneheaded plays late in the game. Not blaming him at all because he showed tremendous heart but there have been threads about how Boatright singlehandedly lost the game last night, to be fair everyone made mistakes at the end, this is a team game. Really wish the Bazz leaving talk would stop, too many reasons for him to stay abd he's not on anyones NBA radar. The rest of the bball world namely NBA scouts don't view him with the same sort of zeal that we do.
With him and everyone else returning, could result in very good things happening next season. I could also see the possibility of Nolan doing an imitation of Hilton Armstrong's improvement. So yes, we need Napier to return and lead the way.
Same here.I REALLY wanted another year out of Donyell. That was the first name that popped into my mind when I saw the title of this thread. Uconn was knocking on the door of the Final Four, Donyell was a 1st team AA, missed those free throws against Florida and then went pro. At the time I remember thinking we'd take a step back - and our Final Four appearance would have to wait. We ended up having a great run the next year losing to UCLA in the final 8. Donyell made the right choice with the huge contract he got but when he left (and the way he went out) it really hurt.

The help D in the lane off of Smith-Rivera was mind boggling, even more so when you consider on a hurt foot you're not going to be able to recover fast enough to your man. That was the type of play he made last year that he's seemed to cut out this year. Those back to back 3s by Porter and then Smith-Rivera to cut the lead to 1 that fast were back breaking.
For the 100th time, there was no help D.
Porter was all alone.
All alone where? Are you referring to the same play I am? Bazz was clearly sagging into the paint to help and left Smith-Rivera wide open.
2nd OT final minute 3-pter by Smith-Rivera?
Porter was all alone for a 3 at the top. Bazz ran at him, Porter kicked to Smith-Rivera for the 3.
Yea, he was most definitely not all alone and there were defenders there, not a good play by Bazz.
I know I called baz my favorite shooting pg ever but his shot selection needs looking at. boat needs to do alot of things different next year. I wish we could not look at the bench every time down, and just run something.
