Well now I'm not so disappointed we lost out on Mitch McGary. Wow, he looks terrible on both sides of the court.

lol...McGary looks like Bill Walton compared to Olander.

McGary looks like Olander compared to Olander, except his defense is significantly worse. He has provided nothing on offense and has had a ton of huge defensive lapses, where he just let whoever was driving get straight to the basket uncontested.

I've been on Mich since week 2, but I wouldn't mind seeing either team win. Good game so far.

Seems like the first time in years I watched a game between two top ten teams without hating at least one of them. I wouldn't mind seeing that as the National Championship.

Great game, fun to watch. Amazing that UM had 4 freshmen out there for stretches. Lot of talent on both sides. Ollie will have them back in games like that sooner rather than later.

Disagree about McGary, he'd get as many minutes as he wanted at UConn.

I remember Oladipo from DeMatha. Not surprised he's as good as he is.

Burke's great. Seems bigger than 6-1.

Hulls looks like he should be playing at Milan High School. You can tell he modeled his jump shot after Jerry Lucas. Total throwback.

It's probably easier to put points on the board when you shoot 40+% from three as a team.

I really hope you are right. Watching this game reminded me of UConn teams from the Mid 90s/Early 00s. I know there is a talent disparity right now, but we have essentially become a half court team of sorts over the last 4-5 years and I really miss the days where there was more ball movement, running/secondary breaks (both off makes and misses), and guys who could make plays. The last few years we have basically had 2-3 players who could be a triple threat and create offense. You watch Mich/IU and they have at least 5-6 and not all of those guys were big time recruits. I love UConn and always will, but despite the gritty/heart angle which we have in spades, we are kind of tough to watch.

I'll give him some credit, he definitely picked it up a little in the second half. The first half however, he was unwatchable, especially on defense. He was responsible for a decent sized chunk of that early IU lead with how many times he just watched someone drive right to the basket without any attempt to contest.

Thank god you are not in charge of uconn recruiting or player evaluations.

Mcgary would be the best big on our team right now, and it wouldn't even be remotely close.

That's not really saying much is it. I'm not saying I wouldn't be happy to have him here or that he wouldn't be a big part of the team, but he had an absolutely awful first half of that game, and was much worse than I expected him to be after following him during his recruitment. And he's averaging 6 and 6, so don't make it out to be like he's been incredibly this year.
