The old 24 hour cooling off period. Everyone was out ahead of their skis predicting another natty. Now after two losses, it is now the trough of dispair. It is somewhere in between when looking at the last week in the rear view mirror. Losses on the road in the Big East happen. Xavier and Providence are good. We aren't walking through the league with no bumbs. The team and Hurley have been exposed after two months of nothing but highs. The Joey C euphoria has worn off. Newton looks ordinary. Conversely, we're going to get more benefical whistles that come from "home cookin." That starts against the Blue Jays. The # 2 ranking may have been premature. The key is focusing on what has gone right for us as fans and the mental state of the team since November. It sets up for a statement game against the Fighting McDermott's. Can't be on a three game losing streak. Time to right the ship. UCONN HUSKIES. UCONN HUSKIES.

We as fans need to bring it on Saturday. That’s it. Make Creighton feel unwelcome and scared. If you don’t show up on time and yell like a crazy person at least three times, you’re a bum and you’re partially to blame.

Fans need to bring it, coaches need to add wrinkles to both sides of the ball, and the players need to grit their teeth and make winning plays. This is gonna be a tough game, Creighton at full strength is a very good team.

The problem was people thinking every great team goes undefeated. Losing back to back stinks, but you’d think this group hadn’t earned the benefit of doubt with their accomplishments this season. I won’t freak out unless Creighton serves us up on a platter.
