It's just not that hard to be competitive. | The Boneyard

It's just not that hard to be competitive.

Nope. All freshmen! And they’re not allowed to be good. Nope. Never happens anywhere!

Except all the places at the G5 level that it does.

There are a few bright spots, but not nearly enough to impact outcome. LBs are beyond bad. QB situation is not salvageable. The OL pass protection is garbage. Seems we have decent RBs and a few good receivers. That’s about it.

I wish I could point to something. But I now realize there’s nothing. Literally nothing and I am a die hard.

Navy won three games last year. Teams jump up and get a lot better from year to year. It happens all the time.

But not us. We stink for a decade. We're Rutgers.
I hate to say it, but it's a fair comment. Year 3 of Randy and he can't compete with navy.

Rutgers never won anything in anything. Besides some fencing title? And some farce championship claim in 1869?

One thing about some fans, let their emotions ride way too much on a sport. Baylor's had a much more painful football history than ours and now a powerhouse.

And I don't even ever expect to see us get far in football in my lifetime. I have an unusual situation, I'll leave it at that.

Calm the heck down. If it bothers you this much, stop following. Before you write books that make us look worse.

Edsall. He’s become worse than Diaco. Just not as eccentric while sucking.

Correctumundo.....100%. The Diaco nuttiness pass Randy has lived under for 3 years is getting old. He can’t recruit even marginally enough to keep games competitive. We’re getting Gampel crowds at the Rent.
