After team USA easily steamrolled over Spain Monday 103-63, they're beginning to look like a run-a-way freight train going down hill. Many thought Spain was their most formidable challenger in group B.

I posted this at another thread after Senegal but it applies here as well!

Realizing the weak opponent but the USA looked really, really good!
I said before this might be the greatest WBB team ever in the Olympics! And they're only going to get better!
No Egos, Divas, Prima Donnas, it was evident from the start JUST WIN BABY was the game plan!
The 12 just fit together like a hand in glove.
The only problem if there is one is sometimes they try too hard and go too fast but time and experience together will cure that!
WOW!

Spain losing Lyttle hurt but the way USA is playing even with her the end would be the same!
If they can remain healthy no one in this tournament will stay close to USA WBB!

I love the starting five of Sue, Diana, Maya, Tina, and Griner. Four undefeated college NCs are represented: Uconn 2002, 2009, and 2010, along with Baylor 2012. And as far as not-undefeated NCs go, the 2000, 2003, and 2004 teams are represented in that starting five with Stewie (resume needs no repeating) and Catchings (undefeated in her own right in 1998) coming off the bench!

Still want to see a lineup with Stewie and the other four Uconn alumnae, but Griner does a ton of work as is.

Tamika Catchings deserves to start instead of Griner. Tina can start at the 5. Should go out with Sue and Dee just like Caroline Doty did in 2013 with Uconn. Catch is one of the All Time Greats!

Truth is, lots of credits have to go to Geno. Somehow, he got these superstars to play like a team and they never ever let up. Just watched USWSNT tied with Columbia and what a difference coaching and game plan have to do with result. The US women soccer team just passed the ball backward and wasted the time for what seemed to be a very long stretch.
