It’s more of an opportunity bucket than a 3 since it often doesn’t require as much to get a shooter open, maybe only one screen instead of two or three. Of course, this is also why transition 3s can be so devastating to an opponent — they work hard to get anything on their end and then Sarah lopes down the court and puts up a 3 before they even have a chance to get set.
