I just had a chance to see the UCLA replay and noticed an old friend, Izzy Anstey from the Australian U-19 team in 2019. She was a load in the World Cup final game.

Izzy’s listed at 6’3” but seemed taller than any UConn player.

It was also good to see Natalie Chou, formerly of Baylor. She always impresses me with her footwork.

Chou has had some time to work on her footwork.

She played (5 minutes) against UConn for Baylor on November 17, 2016, a 72-61 UConn victory at Gampel.

To put that in perspective, at that time Samuelson and Collier were sophomores, Dangerfield was playing her first home game at Gampel, and Megan Walker was a senior in high school.

Chou had a rough offensive game after coming off a great offensive game. I liked her positional defense

Chou grew up about 2 miles from where I lived outside of Dallas. Dynamite in high school but always seemed a half step slow at Baylor. Is this her 5th or 6th year? Forgot she was still in college.

Natalie had 31, including several treys, in a 79-point win against San Jose State earlier in the week. I guess UConn plays better defense, though Osborne scored more against us.
