Is This A New Nightmare?

An ACC reporter is postulating that ACC may be able to lure as Notre Dame "all in" by offering Navy as a football only member. His argument being Navy is geographically closer to all ACC schools as opposed to going out west to play Boise, Navy will be an inconference game for ND, allowing ND to still maintain cherished OOC opponents, Navy could be competitve in FB (no objections from football powers), and Navy BB will not be in to dilute the ACC BB league.

His concluding question.......ACC or BE.....who would Navy choose?

Sounds like he is hinting on stability vs instability as far as conferences go.

A real nightmare if this gets any traction.

Every proposal is a possibility. I would say this is a much lower possibility than others.

I would say UConn/Rutgers is slightly more likely than ND/UConn. And both of these possibilities is much more likely than ND/Navy.

This is getting to be funny already...
1. B12 issues a threat of getting Ville and possibly Cincy, BE says....sure...in 27 months....
2. ACC has this ND with Army stuff. Well ND is simply jerking everyone around and will never commit to an all in scenario.

Maybe all these other conferences have done it's worst to wound the BE conference to the point where the other conferences hope the BE dissolves itself. Unfortunately for then the BE keeps on ticking. I think the BE is down to one card left to play (27 month requirement) and it's a pretty damn good one. They'll have to decide to go for the kill or leave the BE alone.
