Is Storrs Connecticut back to being the basketball capital of the world ?

It's a dreary day and I have lots of free time so I ranked each school based on its men's and women's basketball program. Ranking is the same as the AP Poll (25pts for 1st place, 24pts for 2nd, etc) and combined the men's + women's scores for each school

Indeed, UConn is back to being the basketball capital of the world. Bringing home some more hardware this year would help too :)

if the stars aligned, we could pull off another dual championships in March!

Imagine we could do this on national stage not once, not twice but thrice!

P.S. last night I bought tickets for UConn vs St.John’s game in Feb at MSG thru my local CYO. It’s been a long while since I went to a live game. But I’m back!

Its been the official capital since 2004 when the men and womens team won the title and did so again in 2014 just as a reminder. Seems like people need another.
I wouldn’t say no to it.

No school ever but UCONN. Twice. Seems like that should be talked about and praised more by media. The chance of any other school ever doing it is pretty slim.

Its pretty crazy that it has happened only twice and both times it was Uconn. If i happens a third time there really needs to be a monument up in Storrs making it official capital of cbb.

2011 was close as well since the women's team list in the semifinals to Notre Dame. I believe that Baylor was close in 2021 when the men won the whole thing and Baylor women lost to UConn in the Elite Eight.
