I suppose any school would be hard pressed to say they wouldn't consider leaving the BE for greener pastures, but UofL seems to have one foot gone already.

Will be interesting to see how things pan out, only to see UofL leave shortly thereafter. Does the BE even consider the potential conflict of interest...

LOL but the BE already tried having a school in charge that had no possibility of going anywhere, Providence. We see how well that worked out.

Well who could you send? The only remaining football school that hasn't been linked in rumors to another league is South Florida.

Nope, I'm not bothered. Not about the Big East leadership anymore. Personally, when it comes to my sports fandom of UConn, it's a good feeling. Because for the previous 14 years, I haven't been comfortable with the Big East conference.

I've been saying for a long time that the old guard in the BCS is very much threatened, by simple math, because 7 is greater than 5, and I'm much more concerned about Reverend Jenkins, than I am Jim Ramsey. Somebody needs to leave Luke 10:30-37 open on Father Jenkins desk before he leaves for that meeting.

This is who the people that control the college post season are:

Scott Cowen - President, Tulane University
Rev. John Jenkins - President, University of Notre Dame
Bernie Machen - President, University of Florida
Max Nikias - President, University of Southern California
Duane Nellis - President, University of Idaho
Harvey Perlman - Chancellor, University of Nebraska
John G. Peters - President, Northern Illinois University
Bill Powers - President, University of Texas
James Ramsey - President, University of Louisville
Gary Ransdell - President, Western Kentucky University
Charles W. Steger (chair) - President, Virginia Tech
John Welty - President, California State University, Fresno

I think the Big East should send a committee of 12, 1 representative from each current or incoming university, all 12 to be present in every conversation, and they should each have electronically controlled Tazers so they can zap anyone who gets out of line with the press of a button. That way, we'll know our BCS representation is working for the conference. Either that, or all our representatives will be dead.
