... the Navy game may give the players a lot of confidence. Perhaps the coaching staff too. To get your butt handed to you that way and come back like they did, those guys have got to be thinking they can play with anyone.
My doubts are about the coaching staff and whether or not they extracted lessons learned from the experience. Maybe some last second drills for the staff as well as the players? How to get the damn play in quickly. Change the process used because it sure isn't working now? How to hustle back to the line of scrimmage and either run a play or spike the ball? Basic stuff that they aren't doing.
The Navy game exposed a lot of things that can be corrected and you gotta think the coaching staff will pick up on most. The biggest question is will they realize and accept their own failings? A lot of coaches are too arrogant to do that.
