I just saw Caitlin Clark scored or assisted on 31 of Iowas 33 points in the second half. What struck me more is their bench had zero points against Gerogia. Apparently they have injuries. UConn sure knows what that's like. Tough in the tournament with no bench. I'll bet other teams are taking notice.

Yup, our backup post Hannah Stuelke (B1G 6POY) -- our best rebounder and leading bench scorer -- rolled her ankle in practice literally the day before the game. And our backup combo guard Molly Davis -- our second leading bench scorer -- injured her ankle in the first quarter against Georgia after playing just 1 minute.

Undersized, do you know Hannah's likely status for the coming weekend? The Hawkeyes well might not survive the Colorado/Duke winner without her.

Bluder said in the postgame that she expects Hannah to be ready to go. Now, it's totally possible that that's just coach-speak meant to keep the opponent off guard.

I hope Coach Bluder is speaking sooth. Hate to see things in the postseason decided by injuries.

With the seniors coming back and Steulke lined up, Iowa will be a force next year. Can't wait to see full-time Steulke vs. Holmes a couple of times.
