Baylor is knocking down 3s and Iowa State is driving to the bucket. This game is all backwards.

Baylor shoots the 3 ball much better this year. They are already tough to stop inside, but when they are shooting the 3 as well as they have this year, tough to stop.

Iowa St. is stuck on 13.
13 in the 1st stanza and 13 in the 2nd.
Coach Bill Fennelly won't win many games with that output.

Fortunately for them they don’t have to play Baylor every game.

Richards is flirting with a triple double. All she needs is 2 buckets, two assists, and a rebound in 10 minutes.

What was the point of keeping DD Richards out there to get the triple double but they never let her handle the ball to get the 2 assists she needed?

She had a couple attempted assists that didn’t go through.

This is a totally different Mulkey from even just a couple years ago. She never used to care about things like triple doubles or individual records.

The Lady Bears, 6-6, were perfect from the charity stripe and 9-18 behind the arc.
They're going to need those percentages Friday night on the road against The Texas Longhorns.

I'd like to think we can beat your Longhorns without shooting 50% from the arc. If Texas shoots like last year, 40 points may win the game.

Baylor's Physical Defense limited Iowa St's Offense. However, it doesn't explain why Iowa St was 12-23 at the Free Throw line.

Like last year, Baylor may just win the National Championship because of a Transfer. This year its Te'a Cooper that is a difference maker for Baylor. Baylor is not going anywhere and they'll be competing for National Championships for years to come.

Cooper has her flaws but I think her presence along with Richards is a stellar combo for Baylor and actually makes them more lethal than they were a year ago. Baylor can beat you in so many ways now:

From deep: Cooper/Landrum both shooting over 40% from deep

Playmaking: Cooper is great off the dribble. Smith is tough 1 on 1 from 16 feet and in since she's so quick and finishes through contact.

Inside: Cox and Smith are good finishers around the basket. Egbo too is improved although we haven't seen it in big games. All 3 have midrange capability too.

Passing: Cox and Richards are stellar passers. The team overall is incredibly unselfish, averaging 23 per game.

Depth: Egbo/Ursin/Bickle/Oliver have been great subs off the bench for Baylor and bring different elements to the table depending on the opponent.

Defense: Richards is the best perimeter defender in the country, Cox the best interior defender.

They can absolutely be beat and I think it's a toss up vs. Oregon should they meet, but they're playing at a higher level than I anticipated coming into the season.
