Iowa is off to a red-hot 11-of-12 start and has taken a 26-13 lead late in 1Q.

Drake ends the quarter on a 13-0 run to make it 26-23 at end of 1Q. There's a good crowd in Des Moines for this in-state rivalry game, and they're into it. One thing's for sure, women's basketball is as popular in Iowa and South Dakota as anywhere in the country.

Hittner already has 16 points on 6-7 shooting. Gustafson has 10 on 5-5 shooting.

Becca Hittner has 25 but seems to have cooled off a bit. Gustafson starting to dominate the 3rd quarter, now with 17 points.

This game has given me a new appreciation for Kathleen Doyle's defense. She works extremely hard to be disruptive, and she gets a ton of deflections.

Iowa leads 68-67 at end of 3Q. It's a fun game. Drake really has no answer for Gustafson, who's now up to 25 points. A major factor hurting Drake is foul trouble for Sara Rhine, their leading scorer and rebounder, who has picked up 4 fouls trying to guard Gustafson. But somehow Drake is still hanging around.

Iowa finally pulling away. Drake simply has no one with the size to guard Gustafson, now with 35 points. What a dominant 2nd half by her. Hittner hasn't scored since early in 3Q.

Iowa wins going away. Quarter 4 was the difference maker. Gustafson finishes with 44 points on 17 of 24 shots. Hittner had 32 points for Drake.
