I've been hearing Cal and Oregon for a long time.

I'd like to see Oregon St land a couple of blue chippers. I really enjoy watching the style of basketball being taught and played there.

I was going to ask the question that DaddyChoc answered. Does anybody know if UCONN was still interested?

She's a great player who is a huge competitor and tenacious on offense and defense. Think Kelly Faris, but with more offense and ball handling. I think she decided fairly early on to eliminate UCONN due to distance. I'm sure we were interested in her based on her effort, hustle and attitude, and her skills were just a big bonus.

Not sure if anyone knows the answer or even willing to say, if UCONN was still interested. It has been speculated that with the verbal of Molly UCONN had less interest in Willoughby, Ionescu,& Chou. It was speculated before the verbal of Molly that Ionescu & Chou may not have been interested in coming to UCONN. There was speculation as late as last month that Geno may still be in the market for another 2016 G and was looking at Kysre Gondrezick. So if you want speculation you are in the right place.

Interesting. Hadn't heard any more about Gondrezick. Hard to imagine taking another guard in the 2016 class, but whatever will be, will be.

I love the grit and hustle and attitude that Bent brings to the table, but she's nowhere near as elite as Ionescu or Chou. It would be different if she'd at least been invited to USA tryouts, but for whatever reason she was overlooked.

I have a hard time thinking that Chou or Ionescu would be deterred from UCONN by the verbal of Bent. Now if UCONN had a verbal from Salvadores, I could see it. But Bent? No offense meant to her, and she may turn out way better than thought, but like Irwin, I think most see her as a role player... (think Meghan Gardler).

Cal is about 20 miles from home for her. I wonder if that is a big factor--positive or negative?

You can thank Slu- always on the ball.

Geno may have been watching more than just Janai Crooms in that game today. Kysre Gondrezick plays for the other team, Michigan Crossover and she re-tweeted the tweet above. Forgot all about her, but I thought UConn was off her list.

I did not mean to imply that Chou and or Ionescu were deterred from UCONN by the Bent signing. My speculation was exactly the opposite-meaning that UCONN may have gotten a vibe that neither Chou nor Ionescu were coming therefore UCONN moved on and signed Bent.
